Record for reconstruction
Camera motion and overlapping views determine what can be recovered.
Move through the scene
Translate the camera while recording. Rotating from one fixed point does not provide enough parallax to recover reliable geometry. Keep surfaces in view across neighboring frames.
Keep the image consistent
Move slowly enough to avoid motion blur. Use steady lighting and keep the scene static. Reflective surfaces, blank walls and moving objects can produce unreliable matches.
Connect rooms and corridors
Record the transition between spaces, including the doorway from both sides. Disconnected views may form separate reconstructions. Veyra checks registered camera coverage before training.
Review coverage
A good appearance from a recorded view does not guarantee good appearance from every angle. Inspect several recorded views and the spaces between them. Areas outside the recording are not reconstructed.
